Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin around 8 February 2027. The exact day depends on the sighting of the new moon, and many communities only announce it shortly beforehand. For around thirty days, Muslims fast from dawn until sunset. Iftar, the meal that breaks the fast in the evening, is the moment everyone looks forward to – with family, in the community, with friends or with colleagues.
Iftar at our place or yours
Traditionally the fast is broken with dates and water, and after that something warm is just what you need. With us, that’s our lentil soup, followed by mezze to share such as hummus, moutabal and fattoush, dishes from the grill and, to finish, warm knafeh with Arabic black tea.
Planning around sunset
During Ramadan, iftar moves a few minutes later every day. We plan for that: you give us the date, place and number of guests, and we schedule the kitchen and delivery so that the food is on the table at sunset.
We deliver catering in Mannheim and within around 70 km – from Ludwigshafen and Heidelberg to Darmstadt, Karlsruhe and Frankfurt. There’s no minimum order. If you’d like to celebrate on a particular evening, it’s best to get in touch in January; that leaves time to plan the buffet without any rush.
