Privacy policy
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is Dunya Restaurant GmbH, H 1, 5, 68159 Mannheim, Germany, represented by its managing director Hanin Ciyrik. Email: info@dunya-restaurant.de, phone: +49 621 490 770 96.
2. The key points at a glance
- This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising services.
- The website’s fonts, images and videos are hosted on our own server; no content from Google Fonts, YouTube or map services is embedded.
- We use the data from our enquiry and reservation forms solely to deal with your request.
3. Hosting and server log files
The website is hosted on servers operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, in Germany. Whenever a page is accessed, the server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the address requested, the amount of data transferred, the referrer, and your browser and operating system. This serves the secure and stable operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are deleted automatically after a short period unless they are needed to investigate a security incident. We have a data processing agreement in place with our host.
4. Enquiry and reservation forms
When you send a catering, event or hall enquiry or a table reservation, we process the details you enter in the form: name, phone number and/or email address, date, time, number of guests, town, occasion, preferred package and your message. We also store which page the enquiry came from, the language of that page and – if included in the link – campaign parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content). None of this contains an identifier for your device.
The forms transmit the data in encrypted form to our reservation and enquiry system EatJet (eatjet.de), which is likewise run on servers of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. Our team handles your enquiry there, and the restaurant management receives an email notification. If you have given an email address, we send you a confirmation.
The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures or of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future. We delete the data as soon as it is no longer needed to handle your request and no statutory retention obligations apply (for example for invoices).
5. Contact by phone, WhatsApp and email
If you call or write to us, we process your details in order to deal with your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).
Our enquiry hotline can also be reached via WhatsApp. WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. Data may be transferred to servers of Meta Platforms Inc. in the USA; Meta is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Whether you contact us via WhatsApp is entirely up to you – you can always reach us by phone, email or form instead.
6. Menu
The images on our menu are loaded from our system EatJet (eatjet.de). In the process, your IP address is transmitted to that server (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, delivery of content).
7. Links to other services
The “Directions in Google Maps” link only opens Google’s website once you click it. From that point on, Google’s privacy policy applies.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to withdraw your consent (Art. 7(3)). To exercise these rights, write to us at info@dunya-restaurant.de.
Right to object: where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg.
