At lunchtime you want something quick that still keeps you going. At Dunya in H1 5 you’re just a few steps from the Marktplatz, you order at your table and your plate comes hot from the kitchen – not from a warming counter.
Good choices for lunch
On their lunch break, many of our guests go for dishes that fill you up without weighing you down:
- Shawarma plate: chicken straight off the rotisserie, with fries, coleslaw and fresh vegetables
- Falafel plate: crispy falafel with salad and pomegranate seeds, vegetarian
- Lentil soup: red and green lentils with cumin and turmeric – a favourite on cold days
- Shish taouk: marinated chicken breast from the grill, with rice or fries
- Fattoush: the Levantine salad with toasted flatbread, for something lighter
If there are two or three of you, a platter of four starters to share is a good way to begin. Wash it down with an ayran in a copper cup or our Dunya lemonade with mint and lemon.

Going out for lunch as a department – to say goodbye to a colleague, perhaps, or to celebrate the end of a project? Just book a table and tell us how many of you there are. For larger groups with their own buffet, our event hall is ready for you.
And if the team would rather stay in the office, our catering brings Arabic food to you – in Mannheim and within around 70 km.
Good to know
When do you serve lunch?
Monday to Friday from 12 noon to 3 pm, so you can drop in as soon as your lunch break starts. Our full menu is available every day from 12 noon to 10 pm.
Do I need to book for lunch?
On your own or as a pair, just walk in. If you’re coming as a bigger group from the office, a quick reservation is worth it – your table will be ready when you arrive.
How much is lunch?
Lunch is €9.90. Ask us in the restaurant or over the phone what we’re serving for lunch right now. You’ll find the prices for all our other dishes on our menu, always up to date.
Are there vegetarian options at lunchtime?
Yes – the falafel plate, lentil soup, fattoush, tabbouleh or hummus, for example. All vegetarian dishes are marked on the menu.
Can you deliver lunch to the office?
For teams we deliver through our catering service, including catering boxes. There’s no minimum order; the delivery fee depends on the distance and is shown in your quote.
