Finding your way in the city centre
Mannheim’s city centre is laid out as a grid of blocks, each named with a letter and a number instead of a street name. Our address, H1 5, means block H1, building 5. H1 is on Breite Straße, right next to the Marktplatz.
If it’s your first time in Mannheim, think of a chessboard: the blocks are laid out in a grid, and the building numbers run all the way round each block. The easiest landmark is the Marktplatz – from there it’s just a few steps to us.
By tram or bus: the nearest stop is Marktplatz, served by several tram lines. Paradeplatz, the main interchange in the city centre, is only a few minutes’ walk away. Trams run into the city centre from Mannheim Hauptbahnhof (central station).
By car: it’s easiest to park in one of the city-centre car parks and walk the last few minutes. The map view above shows the route and nearby parking.

The Marktplatz tram stop is right next to blocks G1 and H1. From Paradeplatz it’s also just a few minutes on foot.
