8,90 €

Chicken shawarma the way it should be: tender grilled meat wrapped in Arabic bread with crunchy pickles and creamy garlic sauce, then pressed on the grill until golden and crisp. Cut through the middle, the wrap reveals its juicy, well-seasoned filling. Served with golden fries and an extra bowl of garlic sauce for dipping – a hearty classic straight from the rotisserie.

The shawarma sandwich is how most people first get to know shawarma: eaten on the go, quick, and still filling. We don’t serve ours in paper, though, but on a plate – cut in half, so you can see the layers inside.

The Levantine wrap

In Syria and Lebanon, shawarma is traditionally wrapped in thin Arabic bread. What makes it Levantine are the pickled gherkins and a punchy garlic sauce known there as toum. The rotisserie behind it comes from Ottoman cooking and hasn’t changed in over a hundred years: meat stacked layer upon layer, cooking slowly in front of the heat.

Pressed, not just rolled

Once it’s rolled, the wrap goes on the grill and is pressed. That makes the bread crisp while the meat inside stays juicy. The fries on the side and the extra garlic sauce turn the sandwich into a proper meal.

Which shawarma is right for you?

If you want more sides and vegetables, go for the Shawarma Special. If you’d rather skip the bread altogether, order the shawarma plate. The sandwich is the simple, quick option.

On the side and afterwards

Falafel or batata harra are great for sharing first. And for the office, we’re happy to plan shawarma in as a lunch box – find out more about our catering.
