A Christmas party at a restaurant has one big advantage: nobody has to go shopping or set up beforehand, or wash up afterwards. You come into Mannheim city centre, sit down at a table that’s already laid, and the evening is yours.
In December, lots of parties serve the same thing. With us, there are lots of little bowls in the middle of the table instead: hummus, moutabal, muhammara, tabbouleh and warm flatbread. Then come hot dishes from the grill, such as shish taouk or the Dunya mixed grill. To finish, there’s warm knafeh with a glass of tea.
Sharing is what it’s really all about. If you’re sitting next to someone from another department, passing the bowls gets you talking – far more easily than with plated dishes everyone orders for themselves.
Dunya is at H1 5, a few minutes’ walk from the Marktplatz. If you’d like a stroll round the Christmas market at the Wasserturm first, you can be with us in no time via the Planken and Breite Straße. From Ludwigshafen, Heidelberg or Viernheim it’s easy to get into the city centre by train and tram – handy when nobody wants to drive that evening.
For larger groups of around 50 or more, take a look at our event hall, which you’ll then have to yourselves. December dates go quickly. Send us the dates you’d like and we’ll get back to you with a quote within 24 hours.
